Patalappuja Huopanen-langasta - Knitted and felted potholders

Nämä patalaput on neulottu Novitan Huopanen-langasta ja huovutettu pesukoneella. Helpot ohjeet alla.

These Potholders are knitted from Novitas Huopanen-yarn, which is easy to felt by machine wash. Instructions below : )

 

Tarvitset puikot kokoa 10. Luo 40 silmukkaa ja neuloa aina oikein -neuletta, kunnes kappale on n. neliö. Päättele. Sitten kulmamadot: leikkaa langasta 12 kpl 30 cm pitkiä pätkiä. Taita ne puoliksi ja pujota keskikohta kulmasta sisään, pujota päät lenkin läpi. Jaa kolmeen osaa ja palmikoi n. 10 cm pitkä palmikko. Solmi pää. Toista kaikissa kulmissa.

Sitten se hauskin osa, jossa peset kappaleet pesukoneessa 40 asteen pesuohjelmalla (normaaliohjelma, ei villa) ja jännität, mitä tulee. Kappale kutistuu n. 40%, mutta lopputulos on aina vähän yllätys.

You will need needles size 10. Cast on 40 lps and knit garter stitch until the piece makes a square. Cast off. Then make the worms to the corners: cut 12 pcs, length 30 cm. Bind from half way and string through corner. Then string the edges through the loop. Divide into 3 and make a plait, length appr 10 cm. Make a knot to finish up. Repeat in all corners.

And then the nice part. Wash pieces in 40 degrees (normal program, no wool). You never know what exactly you will get, but the parts should shrink appr. 40%.
